Always trying to help

Hello to all, this is Opie signing back in...................

First and foremost Thank you God for all that you have allowed to be blessed in my life.  I pray that all have had a great start to the new year!  I have been on here for a while and have written on many different subject matters.  I hope that it has been for the best to help you out in any capacity.  So, here I go again..............

One of the main reason's that I write on here is to share my thoughts and views.  I also pray that whom ever reads these blogs are uplifted and can get some positive encouragement.  As this new year begins, I want to be a positive influence on all.  Try to help out in whatever way God will allow it!  I know that by talking to someone and getting to the "heart" of the matter, that there is always something said that will reignite a spark and get the fire roaring again.

It was once said to me that a conversation is only able to happen when two people have opinions on a topic.  I have always enjoyed talking with people and trying to help out with whatever the situation is.  There are many times that I can not be of service just because there are things that I can not change.  Knowing this, I still continue to pray for these people.

I like to get to the heart of the matter.  What is it that is the real issue?  What is it that will make someone a better person?  Not only in social circles, but at the same time a better spiritual person and closer to God.  I try to pray  before I engage in a deep conversation and throughout continue to pray in my mind that God will provide me with the words that are needed to be said and that they will understand what I am saying.  It doesn't matter if I understand, but only if they do!  I am praying that the ember gets fanned so that it will become a flame that will burn with passion.  To get people to see that they are not out of options and they can be productive citizens.  I like to see people happy in all that they do.

I always bring God into conversations.  It is how I operate.  God has to be in the center of all things.  With out God, then there is nothing.  I have such a deep desire for God to be near Him that I also want others to be that close with Him!  I just ask for His guidance and wisdom to be upon me in the conversation.  I take a few moments here and there to open myself up to listen.  Not only to God, but also to whom I am talking with.  Understanding what is going on and how to give guidance.  I am only wanting to help others in this way!

Until next time this is Opie signing off............................
